General Terms and Conditions of Sale – Adopt UAE

1. Introduction

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”) govern all sales made by Adopt UAE, whether through its physical stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi or through its official online store at www.adopt-ae.com(“Website”).
By purchasing from Adopt UAE, you (“Customer” or “You”) agree to be bound by these Terms, in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended by Decree-Law No. 5 of 2023), the Executive Regulations (Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023), and applicable e-commerce regulations.

3. Scope

These Terms apply to all orders placed via Adopt UAE’s stores and Website, covering the sale, delivery, payment, warranty, return, and after-sales service for products offered by Adopt UAE.

4. Language

  • These Terms are provided in English for Customer convenience.

  • In accordance with UAE law, the Arabic version shall prevail if published.

5. Products

  • Products offered by Adopt UAE are described with care to ensure accurate information on name, description, price, volume, and origin.

  • Images displayed on the Website are for illustration only. The actual product may vary slightly.

  • All Adopt UAE products are compliant with UAE safety, labeling, and perfume regulatory requirements.

6. Prices

  • All prices are stated in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED).

  • Prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate.

  • Adopt UAE reserves the right to update prices at any time, but the price payable is the one shown at the time of order confirmation.

  • Any promotional offers or discounts are valid only within the period specified and in compliance with UAE promotional licensing requirements.

7. Ordering

  • Orders may be placed in-store or via the Website.

  • For online purchases, an order is considered valid once payment is authorized and the Customer receives a confirmation email.

  • Adopt UAE reserves the right to refuse an order in cases of stock unavailability, incorrect information provided by the Customer, or suspected fraudulent activity.

8. Payment Methods

Adopt UAE accepts the following secure payment methods:

  • Debit and Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

  • Google Pay

  • Apple Pay

Payment must be made in full at the time of order. Adopt UAE does not accept cash on delivery (COD).

9. Invoicing

  • A dated and detailed invoice will be issued in compliance with UAE Consumer Protection Law.

  • The invoice will include: supplier details, Customer details, product description, price in AED, and VAT.

10. Delivery

  • Adopt UAE delivers products across the United Arab Emirates.

  • Delivery timelines are displayed at checkout and confirmed via email.

  • Delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (force majeure, courier issues, or government restrictions) shall not make Adopt UAE liable.

11. Returns & Exchanges

  • Returns are accepted only if:

    • The product delivered does not match the Customer’s order; or

    • The product is damaged upon delivery.

  • The Customer must notify Adopt UAE within 7 days of receipt by emailing info@adopt-ae.com.

  • Returned products must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.

  • Refunds will be processed within 14-21 business days using the same payment method.

12. Warranty & After-Sales Service

  • Adopt UAE guarantees the authenticity and quality of all products.

  • In the event of a recurrent defect (three times within one year), the Customer is entitled to a replacement or refund, as per UAE law.

  • No warranty applies where defects result from misuse, improper storage, or negligence by the Customer.

13. Pre-Orders

  • Adopt UAE may offer pre-order options for upcoming releases.

  • Pre-orders are charged at the time of placement.

  • Delivery timelines for pre-orders are estimates only and subject to availability.

14. Gift Cards

  • Adopt UAE may issue gift cards, which can be redeemed exclusively in UAE stores or on the Website.

  • Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash.

15. Promotions & Discount Codes

  • Promotional campaigns, vouchers, or discount codes are valid only within the announced period.

  • Discounts cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

  • Any misuse of promotional offers entitles Adopt UAE to refuse or cancel the order.

16. Intellectual Property

  • All trademarks, brand names, product designs, images, texts, and content on www.adopt-ae.comremain the exclusive property of Adopt UAE and/or Adopt France.

  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

17. Liability

  • Adopt UAE’s liability is limited to the value of the purchased product.

  • Adopt UAE shall not be liable for indirect damages such as loss of profit, data, or business opportunity.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or gross negligence.

18. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Adopt UAE collects Customer data solely for:

    • Order processing and notifications.

    • Promotions, offers, and sales-related communications.

  • Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

  • Customers can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

19. Consumer Rights

In line with UAE Consumer Protection Law, Customers are entitled to:

  • Safe products that comply with quality standards.

  • Transparent information on prices, invoices, and product labeling.

  • Protection of personal data and privacy.

  • Access to complaint resolution mechanisms.

20. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

  • Customers should first contact Adopt UAE at info@adopt-ae.comfor complaint resolution.

  • If unresolved, Customers may escalate complaints to the Consumer Protection Department, UAE Ministry of Economy.

21. Force Majeure

Adopt UAE shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, transport disruptions, or strikes.

22. Amendments

Adopt UAE reserves the right to update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in law or business operations. Updates will be published on www.adopt-ae.com.

23. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.
